Udinese announced captain Antonio Di Natale has picked up a knee injury.
The striker was on target in a 1-0 win over Catania on Monday, but chief medics confirmed he also strained a knee ligament during the game.
He has been diagnosed with a strained collateral medial ligament in the right knee and the extent of the damage will only be ascertained over the next few days.
It’s not clear how long Di Natale will be out for, but his absence is always a heavy blow for the Friulani.
