An ankle injury has ruled Antonio Cassano out of Parma’s rescheduled Roma game, confirmed Roberto Donadoni.

An ankle injury has ruled Antonio Cassano out of Parma’s rescheduled Roma game, confirmed Roberto Donadoni.

FantAntonio was not included in the squad list travelling to the Stadio Olimpico for the Serie A tie, which was rained off after 10 minutes in February.

“Cassano got a knock to the ankle on Sunday,” explained Coach Donadoni in his Press conference.

“He couldn’t even put his foot down yesterday. It seems better today, but it can affect his performance. I don’t want to risk anyone’s health or provide problems for the future, so we don’t have Antonio at our disposal.”

Also sidelined are Gabriel Paletta, Walter Gargano and the suspended Dias Felipe, who was banned in Week 22.

However, Amauri and Alessandro Lucarelli are available because their Serie A bans were not in place when the original game began.

The match resumes from where it left off, kicking off on Wednesday at 17.30 UK time (16.30 GMT).

Parma squad for Roma: Amauri, Acquah, Bajza, Biabiany, Cassani, Cerri, Galloppa, Gobbi, Jankovic, Lucarelli, Marchionni, Mauri, Mirante, Munari, Molinaro, Obi, Palladino, Parolo, Pavarini, Rossini, Sall, Schelotto
