Simon Kjaer has commented on his time at Roma, admitting that it ‘could have been better’.
The Denmark international signed for the capital club on a one-year loan in 2011, but played just 22 times for the Giallorossi.
And the Lille man has concede that it was difficult time, but thanks the club for improving him as a player.
“The year I went to the capital was a particularly difficult time for the club,” he told EuropaCalcio.
“There was a change at the top and a lot of the staff changed as well.
“I think I played about 20 times for Roma. Summing it up, it could have definitely gone better.
“But sporting director Walter Sabatini definitely furthered by career and helped me grow as a professional, so I thank him for that.”
The centre-back then commented on former Lille boss Rudi Garcia, who has impressed this season with the Lupi.
“When I arrived at Lille, I told people that Rudi Garcia would achieve a lot at Roma!”
