Cagliari have confirmed that former Coach Ivo Pulga has returned to lead the side until the end of the season.
Rossoblu President Massimo Cellino earlier announced the move to the media and it has now been confirmed on the club’s official website.
“Ivo Pulga has returned to lead the first team,” a statement reads. “The Coach took training this morning at Assemini.
“The players who were used in yesterday’s match with Roma took part in warm-down exercises.
“The others, after warming up, took part in aerobic work and a short training match.”
Pulga coached Cagliari during the 2012-13 season before he and assistant Diego Lopez swapped roles last July.
Now, with Lopez sacked, the 49-year-old is back at the helm.
