The Nerazzurri have gone on a four-game winless run at the business end of the season to derail hopes of Europa League qualification.

Reflecting on his early life with the club, January signing Hernanes, however, is optimistic for what he has seen so far.

“This moment is very beautiful, for many years I have looked to a great team and Inter, even if others do not say they are a great team, are Inter,” the midfielder has reflected to Tiki Taka this week.

“I am 28 years old, I am mature, [my early time here] is a magical moment.

“The team’s current form is a little moment, which I have experienced many times in my career.

“Yes I was expecting an easier run, because when I arrived we won four games, but this has happened. Nothing is irreparable, however. Now we look to end the season well.

“The lack of penalties for Inter? Every now and again this comes up, but we cannot stop this. We need to forget it, we cannot do much more. Saturday we got one, now we must look ahead.

“In these two months I have lived at Inter I have seen a lot of quality, even from the guys who are not playing much.

“I have seen that this group has great potential, and I am convinced that, whilst for now I have not been able to help as I had intended due to some issues, now that has passed and things will blossom.”
