Lazio have won the Primavera Cup for the first time in 35 years after beating Fiorentina 4-2 on the night and 7-3 on aggregate in the two legged final.
The Biancocelesti’s youth side took a 3-1 lead to Florence for the second leg of the tie at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and never looked back.
Goals by Cristiano Lombardi and Luca Crecco put them 2-0 up on the night within the first 22 minutes.
Luzayadio Bangu pulled a goal back for the Viola on the stroke of half-time but Simone Inzaghi’s side once again responded in style.
Two more goals by Crecco and Joseph Minala followed in the second half, rendering Bangu’s second goal of the night in the final minute mere consolation.
