Claudio Lotito has praised Lazio’s Primavera side for winning the Cup and promised a number of the team will make the senior squad.
The Aquile’s academy side, coached by Simone Inzaghi, yesterday completed a 7-3 aggregate Cup Final win over Fiorentina, to leave their President enthusiastic for the future.
“The Primavera is the feather in our cap, next year we will bring into the first team at least five talents from the youth side,” promised Lotito today on Lazio Style Channel.
“Certainly the project is beginning to take shape and the Primavera is bearing fruit. We have top management conditions, we are first in the standings, we have won back the Cup after 35 years and last year we won the championship.
“We have created synergies, and in fact we promoted Alberto Bollini to be Edy Reja’s assistant, to create a connection between the youth and senior team.
“There are all the indications that this sector will explode and that it will prove its worth.
“Simone Inzaghi? When I inserted him into this role I did so knowing that he would do well, in time he will play an increasingly important role.”
