Torino midfielder Alexander Farnerud is out for the rest of the season after damaging knee ligaments.
The Swedish player sprained his left knee during a training session today and tests revealed the worst possible outcome.
Farnerud has snapped the anterior cruciate ligament and will be out of action for at least four to six months.
The 29-year-old scored four goals in 23 Serie A games this season.
