Milan have confirmed that Keisuke Honda will miss the game against Catania this weekend through injury.
The Rossoneri host the bottom of the table club on Sunday evening, hoping for the three points that could take them up to seventh in the table.
But they will have to do so without the Japan international, who has been diagnosed with an ankle sprain.
The 27-year-old had initially struggled for form at San Siro since arriving from CSKA Moscow in January.
However, after his goal against Genoa this week, hopes had been high that the playmaker would find some consistency.
The club though, have confirmed that Honda will miss the match. It is not clear how long he will be out for in total.
