Pellegrino 'ready for Milan' debut

Maurizio Pellegrino will make his Serie A debut on the Catania bench at San Siro against Milan. “We are ready.”

The Elefantini sacked Rolando Maran for the second time this season and promoted Pellegrino from their youth academy, as relegation now seems inevitable.

He’ll have his first top flight game on the bench at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), click here for a match preview.

“We worked well this week and the team was at my disposal in a very professional way,” said Pellegrino in his Press conference.

“There were a few tactical adjustments to be made, but everyone settled into their roles and we are ready to face Milan.

“We’ve got to approach this game differently to the others. If we think only of limiting Milan, then it’ll be the wrong idea entirely. We face Milan aware of our own capabilities and qualities.”
