Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has insisted that he wants to stay in the Spanish capital, despite interest from Inter.

The Nerazzurri have been constantly linked with a move for the Blancos goalscorer in the summer, with President Erick Thohir set to give Coach Walter Mazzarri a transfer war chest to overhaul his squad.

However, the 21-year-old has claimed that he wants to stay at Santiago Bernabeu, as long as the club value him.

“I’m happy here,” he told reporters in Spain. “I grew up at Real Madrid, and have a connection with this club.

“If the club still wants me then I’ll stay.

“It’s clear that [Coach Carlo] Ancelotti trusts me. He’s given me the opportunity to earn minutes.”
