Immobile-Cerci want World Cup

Ciro Immobile and Alessio Cerci can’t stop scoring for Torino and confess they’d love to be at the World Cup together.

They both arrived at the Coverciano training ground for today’s fitness tests, which will help Coach Cesare Prandelli decide who is going to Brazil.

“We are in good shape,” Cerci told Sky Sport Italia. “Are Torino fighting for Europe because of us? Let’s not say that!”

Immobile is current Capocannoniere on 19 Serie A goals, while Cerci has notched up 13 this term.

“I am happy and we’ll give it our all to deserve the Italy jersey,” added Immobile in the same interview.

“The Coach is observing us and I’m happy he is following my progress. Now I’ll give my all in these two days and see what happens.

“You can tell how much it means to us. Ale and I are good together, but we’ll have to see what happens from here to the end of the season.”
