Igli Tare says Antonio Candreva won’t be leaving Lazio this summer and if Miroslav Klose renews, the likes of Fabio Quagliarella won’t be arriving.
The Aquile’s sporting director was challenged this week by reporters on the club’s plans for the summer, beginning with continued speculation over Candreva, who is currently co-owned with Udinese.
“There is no chance of him leaving our club,” Tare responded to Sky Sport Italia.
“He has a long contract with us and at the end of the season we will find agreement with Udinese for his redemption.
“His progression has been important, but Candreva is a staple of Lazio.”
Rumours continue about Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella’s arrival and if Senad Lulic would be sold to help finance any deal.
“We have reached agreement with Djordjevic. If Klose renews then in attack the market is closed because we have someone like Keita who has exploded, and then Perea, Tounkara, we are covered.
“Keita? There is ample room for him to improve, but we must remain grounded because in football it takes very little to go from hero to zero.”
