There are reports Roma are back in contention for Tottenham’s Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.
Spurs won a bidding war for the player back in June 2013, paying £17.3m to sign him from Corinthians.
Among the other clubs interested at the time was Roma, but they were not taking part in European competition.
Now the Giallorossi have qualified for the Champions League next season and Tottenham seem likely to miss out on that prestigious tournament once again.
According to UOL Esporte in Brazil, Roma boss Rudi Garcia is making a fresh bid to convince Paulinho of his project.
It is claimed the Coach sees him as the ideal figure for his 4-3-3 formation.
This season Paulinho made 26 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals, but has fallen down the pecking order recently.
Roma hope to attract the 25-year-old with the extensive Brazilian contingent at the club, including Douglas Maicon, Leandro Castan, Dodò, Rafael Toloi and Rodrigo Taddei.
