Italian papers claim Pepe Reina has a buy-out clause in his Liverpool contract worth £5.2m, so he could stay at Napoli.
The goalkeeper spent this season on loan at the Stadio San Paolo and impressed enough that the club wants him to make the move permanent.
So far Napoli have not been able to work out a deal for him to remain, but there are new reports of developments.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Reina’s contract with Liverpool includes a buy-out clause worth £5.2m.
This sum would allow Napoli to propose a new three-year deal for the Spaniard.
