Former Inter defender Marco Materazzi has reflected on being part of the Nerazzurri’s treble winning side in 2010.
The 40-year-old reserved special praise for then-Coach Jose Mourinho, who he described as ‘the best’ despite not featuring regularly under him.
“It was a fantastic season from every point of view,” Materazzi said to Thehardtackle.com.
“I didn’t play much but Mourinho made the whole group feel involved and made everyone feel important.
“I still managed to take a lot of satisfaction from that season.
“Mourinho is simply the best. I stopped playing regularly at Inter under him, but he made me feel more important that anyone else ever had.
“He is a genuine person and that is a rare thing in football.”
