Kevin Strootman is “on schedule regarding his recovery” from a knee injury, confirmed Roma after a check-up.
The Dutch midfielder snapped the anterior cruciate ligament during the game with Napoli on March 9 and was ruled out for approximately nine months.
“Today in Amsterdam, Kevin Strootman underwent a scheduled medical check on his left knee performed by Roma’s head of medical staff Dr. Colautti and Prof. Van Dijk,” read a statement.
“Five weeks after having surgery, the player showed himself to be in good condition and on schedule regarding his recovery.”
There were reports today that Strootman could be ready for the start of next season, though the original estimate was for a return in October.
