The current Livorno ds was suggested as set for a return to the Rossoblu, on from a previous spell at the club which coincided with current Coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s first stint in charge.

However, the club’s President has made clear that whilst rumours of Capozucca leaving Livorno continue, no such reunion at Marassi will be taking place just yet.

“Capozucca? No, we will continue as we are,” Preziosi considered to Il Secolo XIX today.

“We worked together with Capozucca for nearly 10 years, there is great affection, but now our paths are divided.

“We will continue like this, there is Milanetto, who is good, he is working well and he will be our sporting director.”

Milanetto represented Genoa for five years between 2006 and 2011, managing over 150 appearances for the club, before a brief spell at Padova preceded his retirement in 2011.
