Giuseppe Rossi’s agent assured he is “happy and completely recovered, so he’s ready for the World Cup.”
The Fiorentina striker hasn’t played since damaging knee ligaments on January 5, but is back in full training with the squad.
“Pepito has completely recovered, so now it’s just an issue of how he feels,” Andrea Pastorello told Lady Radio.
“Could he be on the field against Bologna on Saturday? It’s possible, but I doubt it. We can also rule out the chance of starting the Coppa Italia Final on May 3.
“His confidence is really high and he’s happy. The player is healthy and ready for the World Cup. Now it’s up to Cesare Prandelli to decide.
“We worked very hard to get to this point and we are calm.”
The 27-year-old had been Serie A top scorer until his injury, scoring 14 goals in 18 games.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina gave a sneak peak of their special jersey for the Coppa Italia Final against Napoli, which will include a large Italian flag on the front.
