Carlos Tevez believes Juventus have “a very good chance” of reaching the Europa League Final despite defeat in Lisbon.
The striker broke his continental goal drought after four years in a 2-1 loss to Benfica this evening, but the second leg is next Thursday.
“My goal isn’t the important thing, as it matters only that we are still in the running for qualification,” Tevez told Sport Mediaset.
“I am in good shape physically, so I’m happy. We’ve got a very good chance of getting through to the next round. Qualification is wide open for the second leg.”
Because of that away goal, a 1-0 victory in Turin would be enough to send Juventus through to the Final, which will be played at the Juventus Stadium.
