Sampdoria defender Lorenzo De Silvestri will ‘try until the end’ to fight for a place at this summer’s World Cup.
The 25-year-old has only played twice for Italy, but was included in the Azzurri squad for the friendly against Argentina last August.
However, after an impressive season for the Bluerchiati, the full-back has claimed that he will fight for a place on the plane, even if his chances are slim.
“The World Cup? I’ll try my very best until the end of the season,” he told Samp TV.
“But we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ll give my all, but it’s up to Mr.Prandelli.”
