Fiorentina legend Gabriel Batistuta has praised the work of Coach Vincenzo Montella and his Viola players this season.
The Argentine was speaking to Lady Radio about the ‘Partita del Cuore,’ a charity match at the Artemio Franchi in which he is set to feature.
“Me at the Partita Del Cuore? To say I will be playing is a strong word!” Batistuta said. “But I will be there to give a helping hand to this great initiative.
“I hope the stadium will be full. The Florence public know about it and I have no doubt that the Franchi will be full.
“Me on the pitch with Montella and other Fiorentina legends? Well, they are looking for a goalkeeper!
“It’s 15 years since I rode a bicycle but that’s how I’m training at the moment. We will see. Getting together with the legends is always a pleasure.
“Firoentina? Let’s hope they can do it. This season has gone well and the team has done well.
“Montella has made the team better. Let’s hope we can all celebrate on 19th May.”
