Former Italy international Fulvio Collovati thinks Napoli Coach Rafa Benitez’s tactics are too risky for Serie A.
The Spanish tactician has regularly deployed a 4-2-3-1 system during his debut season at San Paolo but the ex-Milan and Inter man believes he should be more flexible.
“Benitez has a very precise idea of football,” Collovati told Radio Crc. “He has never changed formation this season so I don’t think he’ll change at San Siro tomorrow.
“Conte was the same before. His 4-2-4 was too offensive, so he went to 3-5-2.
“Next year, if he wants to go for the Champions League, I imagine he will go with a 4-3-3.
“In Italy, Benitez’s 4-2-3-1 is too risky.”
