“I am starting to play the part of the old man who wants to rest,” he smiled on Roma Channel.
“We have young, strong and exuberant players who really have fun. They keep pushing even when they ought to take their time and control. It’s better like this than when you play alongside someone who just stands there.
“We are clearly stronger than Milan. They covered themselves well, but we saw our patience to wait for the right moment and break them down.”

“Unfortunately, even if they don’t win on Monday it will be very difficult to catch them. We will continue like this to the end and enjoy ourselves. After all, the tournament is almost finished and there were 50,000 people in the stadium. We’ve got to respect these fans and give them the joy they’ve been lacking in recent years.”
De Rossi gave the credit to Coach Rudi Garcia and a change of mentality after their Coppa Italia Final defeat to Lazio last May.
“We have become a team and you can see that. We prepare the games with great effort, have fun and are happy around each other. None of that is a coincidence.
“This side has become very strong and we know we can beat anyone. We’re aware of our talents and our enthusiasm continues, so we’re all starved for victory next season too.”
Roma have already secured a spot in the Champions League group phase.
