Gokhan Inler regrets hitting the post against Inter and trusts Napoli are ready for the Coppa Italia Final.
“It’s a shame, as I could’ve won it, but I had to take the shot in front of Samir Handanovic. It’s a pity,” the Swiss midfielder told Sky Sport Italia after a 0-0 draw.
“I am a player who always gives his all and wants to improve. The important thing, as the Coach says, is to play it simple and with intensity.”
This was Napoli’s last game ahead of next Saturday’s Coppa Italia Final against Fiorentina.
“We certainly could’ve done more tonight, but it was a good performance and now we’ll train well ahead of Fiorentina. We want this cup.”
Gonzalo Higuain was stretchered off with an ankle injury and it remains to be seen whether he can recover for the Final on May 3.
"We are all worried about him and hope it's nothing serious. Higuain is very important to us."
