Inter President Erick Thohir has commented on the decision by the Giudice Sportivo to close the Curva Nord of San Siro for two matches.

The decision was made following alleged ‘discriminatory chanting’ by the ‘majority’ of fans in that section of the ground during the Nerazzurri’s match with Napoli.

The Indonesian also did not rule out the possibility of potentially signing Marek Hamsik from Napoli in the summer.

“The discriminatory chanting? We must respect the decision,” Thohir said to Mediaset. “But it wasn’t racism.

“The fans were not singing about the colour of people’s skin, it was just about the differences in culture between the cities.

“Hamsik? I would like him. There is always a chance, but we need to look at what comes our way in the summer.”
