Parma’s finances received a boost with news Energy T.I. have bought 10 per cent of the club for €25m.
The gas and power company will be minority shareholders and have a place on the Board of Directors.
“We want to make Parma important on a national and international level,” declared President Tommaso Ghirardi.
“These multi-year commercial agreements will bring €25m into the club coffers. It’s something that makes us very proud, as it’s difficult to find Italian business partners in sport.
“My dream was to sell shares so the fans could become minority shareholders, but that isn’t possible in Italy.
“In the next board meeting the new capital will be introduced to help Parma.”
