The Coppa Italia Final Fiorentina-Napoli is tonight and Giuseppe Rossi’s agent admits “he doesn’t know if he’ll play.”
It kicks off at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT) at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to decide the trophy over 90 minutes, 120 or penalties.
Rossi is in the squad and could make his first appearance on the field since damaging knee ligaments on January 5.
“He doesn’t know if he’ll play in the Final yet,” agent Federico Pastorello told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“He resumed work with the group some time ago, but it’s not just about the physical condition, as after an injury like this the psychological aspect is also important.
“The decisions are down to Vincenzo Montella. I do think it is right to leave room to those who brought Fiorentina into the Final.”
Juan Cuadrado is suspended with Mario Gomez out of action, so there are precious few forward alternatives left for Fiorentina.
Meanwhile, Pastorello was also asked about Rossi’s future.
“Giuseppe has another three years on his contract with Fiorentina. They waited all this time and I think there can be no doubts on his future in Florence.”
