Paolo Cannavaro may have been snubbed by Napoli, but he’ll be with the ultras for tonight’s Coppa Italia Final against Fiorentina.
The defender and former captain barely featured this season under Rafa Benitez, so was loaned out to Sassuolo in January.
However, Cannavaro will be in the stands of the Stadio Olimpico in Rome this evening to cheer on his beloved home club.
He’ll opt against the VIP areas and instead sit in the Curva Nord along with the ultras.
It was Cannavaro who lifted the Coppa Italia trophy in this stadium two years ago, when Napoli beat Juventus in the Final.
This can also qualify as research, as Cannavaro’s Sassuolo will play Fiorentina on Tuesday in Serie A.
