Pepe Reina said he hopes the Coppa Italia can be “the first of many trophies” and hinted he’ll stay at Napoli.
The goalkeeper is currently on loan from Liverpool, but his comments to Radio Kiss Kiss after the 3-1 win over Fiorentina implied a long-term presence.
“Lifting the trophy is not a minor triumph. In fact, I hope it can be the first of many trophies, though we need a more complete squad.
“It is a victory dedicated to the fans. The first part of the game was played very well and we pressed Fiorentina high up the field, then our opponents emerged over time.
“With the red card for Gokhan Inler, we proved that we can suffer under pressure in a difficult moment. We then did well to strike at the right time.”
