There are reports Juventus and Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal has decided to have knee surgery before the World Cup.
He has been carrying a meniscus problem since the Europa League game with Fiorentina on March 20.
Chile even sent medical staff over to Turin for a personal visit to check on his condition so close to the World Cup in Brazil.
According to Sport Mediaset, Vidal told his Juve teammates that he will undergo keyhole surgery on Tuesday.
The Bianconeri campaign is effectively over, as they have been eliminated from the Europa League and need only two points from the remaining three rounds to secure the Scudetto.
Vidal has scored 18 goals in all competition for Juventus this season.
