Giuseppe Rossi has admitted to mixed feelings after he returned from injury on Saturday, but lost the Coppa Italia Final.
After 188 days, the striker came back into the fold at Stadio Olimpico playing the last 19 minutes in Fiorentina’s 3-1 loss to Napoli.
But the goalscorer has refused to confirm how fit he actually is ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
“I feel good,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport, “I was happy to get back on the pitch, but disappointed with the result.
“I do not like to give exact numbers and percentages about my condition, but I feel good and want to finish the season strongly.
“I had to fight during my lay-off, but I didn’t have any fear.
“The World Cup? Sure it’s a goal. But I have three games left for Fiorentina, so we’ll have to see after that.”
