Federico Marchetti and Helder Postiga are out for the rest of the season, confirmed Lazio medical staff.
“Postiga has a lesion to the collateral medial ligament in his knee. It is not a serious injury, but his season is over,” announced chief medic Stefano Salvatori.
“We will help him recover for the World Cup in synergy with the Portuguese medical staff.
“As for Marchetti, there is a muscular problem at the back of the right thigh, close to the groin area. It again is not serious, but his season can be considered concluded.”
Helder Postiga arrived in January on loan from Valencia, but made just five appearances for Lazio for a grand total of 139 minutes of football.
