Maxi Lopez has insisted that he sees his long-term future at Sampdoria, and hopes to stay beyond this season.
The Argentine striker is currently on loan until the summer from Catania, but with the Bluerchiati in 12th place, the goalscorer is hoping to agree an extension with the Marassi outfit.
“We’ve had a great finale to the season,” he told Il Secolo XIX. “And on a personal level I’m really enjoying myself.
“I just want to focus on doing well for the last few games of the campaign, giving my best on the pitch and in training.
“It’s been a really positive experience for me personally. I think the last few months have been beautiful for everyone at the club.
“I came back because I feel good at Samp, so I would love to stay.”
