Former Parma striker Hernan Crespo has paid tribute to the Gialloblu’s season and thanked the club for making fans dream.

Roberto Donadoni’s side are seventh in Serie A with two matches remaining in the season, one point off a European qualifying place.

“Regardless of what the final result of the season is, we need to thank the club,” Crespo said to Parma Channel.

“That is starting from the President Ghirardi, through to the Coach and the players. They have made us dream and had an extraordinary season.”

Parma face a critical match in their quest for Europa League football this Sunday, when they take on the side immediately above them in the table, Torino.

“Cerci has shown he is a great player,” Crespo said when questioned about his former side’s opposition.

“Ciro Immobile, after his exploits with Pescara, is showing he can do it in Serie A as well.

“It will be a good match and I hope the fans follow the team in their droves.

“However the match goes, the team’s work has been magnificent.”
