Napoli’s Henrique has expressed his joy at having been included in Brazil’s 23-man World Cup squad.
The defender arrived at San Paolo in January and his performances have been enough to secure himself a place in Luis Felipe Scolari’s selection.
“I’m feeling great joy,” Henrique is quoted as saying by Calcio Napoli 24. “I found out at home by Brazilian television.
“I want to share the credit with Rafa Benitez, the club and the team.”
The Partenopei also passed comment on the player’s call-up via their official Twitter account.
“For Henrique it is a deserved call-up for what he has done in this recent period. Credit to the club as well, who have believed in him.”
