Brazil Coach Luis Felipe Scolari has described Hernanes as one of the best players around for his position.
The Inter midfielder has been included in Scolari’s 23-man World Cup squad and the tactician today held a Press conference to discuss his selection.
“We have six players with real World Cup experience,” he told the assembled media. “That could be important for us during the course of the competition.
“The only thing we want to do is to win the World Cup and it is up to me to create the best environment possible in order to make that happen.
“With the national team doctors, we will work to ensure the players are in the best possible physical and mental condition for the tournament. That is what the friendlies are for.
“Hernanes, who is one of my midfield options, is one of the best around at shooting from distance and switching the play.
“He will also help out defensively and help to organise our shape.”
