Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has claimed that Ciro Immobile ‘absolutely wants to join’ the Bundesliga outfit.
The 24-year-old scored 21 goals in Serie A this season for Il Toro and has been heavily linked with a move to Signa Iduna Park this summer.
The goalscorer is currently co-owned by Juventus, so any negotiations would have to involve the champions.
But Watzke has confirmed that the youngster has set his sights on signing for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
“I can confirm that the player Immobile absolutely wants to join us,” he told Bild.
“There is nothing else to add. If there was something to announce, we would do it.
"It is a known fact that we have been in Italy to exchange thoughts with Juve and collected information.”
