Alessandro Matri’s future is up in the air after a loan spell at Fiorentina. “I’ll return to Milan, then we’ll see.”
The striker struggled in his first six months with the Rossoneri, scoring just one Serie A goal, then netted four for the Viola.
“I think it was a good season for Fiorentina, as we confirmed fourth place, played good football and it’s a shame we didn’t win the Coppa Italia Final against Napoli,” Matri told Sky Sport Italia.
“I came to Florence on a six-month loan with no option, so at the end of the season I will return to Milan, then we’ll see.
“I think talking about the market right now is premature. I will certainly go back to Milan and then discuss it with the club. Everything is still up in the air.
“I am certainly not happy with my season, as I know I could’ve done better. It’s not helpful to have regrets, but I do know I could’ve and should’ve done more.
“Now we’ll play the last game, enjoy the vacation and think about how to get back on track. I can certainly say I’m eager.”
