As expected, there are several Serie A players in Argentina’s World Cup squad, but no Carlos Tevez.
Alejandro Sabella named his provisional list of 30 players for the tournament in Brazil, which will be cut to 23.
There are eight Italy-based figures in the list, including Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, Inter’s Ricky Alvarez, Hugo Campagnaro and Rodrigo Palacio.
Of the three goalkeepers, two of them play in Serie A, as Mariano Andujar was relegated with Catania and Sergio Romero is owned by Sampdoria.
Despite scoring 19 goals in his debut Serie A campaign, Juventus hitman Tevez is not included.
