Marco Verratti’s agent has expressed delight at the midfielder’s inclusion in Italy’s provisional World Cup squad.
The young midfielder was yesterday listed in Cesare Prandelli’s initial 30-man squad, which by June 2 will be cut down to a final 23 to head out to the summer tournament in Brazil.
“We are delighted, after winning the Ligue 1 championship, this is the icing on the cake,” Donato Di Campli has told Tuttomercatoweb this week.
“It was his ambition at this moment. Now my hope is that he can be a part of the 23 and in this we will trust in Prandelli’s selections.
“This year Verratti has had a good season, it is clear that this could be a special point.”
