Borja Valero’s agent says his client is ready to sign a new contract with Fiorentina whenever the club want him to.
The Spaniard has starred in the Viola’s season, helping them to a fourth placed Serie A finish and a Coppa Italia final appearance.
However, he has not been named in Spain’s provisional 30-man World Cup squad and Alejandro Camano is unhappy with Vicente Del Bosque’s decision to exclude him.
“Up until now, no, we don’t have any meetings with Fiorentina planned,” Camano revealed to Tuttomercatoweb.com.
“However, we speak to the club almost every day and the desire of the player is clear. When Fiorentina decide to call him, we will be ready.
“Honestly, I expected Borja to at the very least be included in the preliminary squad. The whole world follows the Italian League and everyone knows the value of the player.
“From my point of view, I am greatly disappointed. Spain have a very strong squad with world class players, but considering for example that Del Bosque named Iturraspe, in my opinion Borja Valero’s name should be there too.”
