Miha set for Samp renewal

Despite recent speculation to the contrary, Sinisa Mihajlovic is reported as in agreement with Sampdoria to remain as Coach for next season.

The Serbian successfully led the Blucerchiati away from relegation trouble after replacing Delio Rossi midway through the season, but only had an initial contract signed until this summer.

On from the Coach’s public hints at what he wanted from Samp in order to stay, reports this week had strongly linked him with a possible switch to former club Lazio.

However, the 45-year-old is believed to have met with Sampdoria directors on Wednesday and the two parties have reached agreement to continue working together for next season.

It is understood that Samp have agreed to provide the ‘guarantees’ that Mihajlovic was looking for and that a further meeting will be set to ratify his new deal to stay.
