The Giallorossi have a terrible record at Marassi with four consecutive defeats, including an amazing 4-3 result after they had been 3-0 up.

Zdenek Zeman caused controversy in the last game when dropping De Rossi and Osvaldo to the bench, criticising their efforts in training.

They were both on target for Italy this week and return to the starting XI for Roma, though Mattia Destro, Nicolas Burdisso, Bogdan Lobont and Dodo are out.

Francesco Totti also starts despite picking up a knock, completing the trident with Erik Lamela and Osvaldo. Panagiotis Tachtsidis still gets the nod ahead of Miralem Pjanic.

Genoa have to do without Marco Rossi, Damiano Ferronetti, Juan Manuel Vargas and Anselmo, while Immobile has been suffering from flu this week and is only fit for the bench.

It’s an important match for Marco Borriello, who faces his former Giallorossi teammates.
