Cerci: 'Torino deserve Europe'

Alessio Cerci feels Torino deserve a place in the Europa League because “we all gave our heart and soul.”

The Granata will secure sixth position if they manage to beat Fiorentina this evening, although they could also get there depending on other results.

Cerci will need to shoulder even more of the attacking weight tonight, as top scorer Ciro Immobile is suspended.

“Everyone proved they are great players in this splendid year, I take on my share of the responsibility and we’ll see what the pitch tells us,” Cerci told Mediaset.

“We are facing a very strong side that will want to do well in front of the home fans, while we must give our all from start to finish.

“The Europa League would be an important achievement for the team. We all gave our heart and soul, so we deserve this.”
