Sassuolo’s Paolo Cannavaro has been banned for the first three Serie A matches of next season.
The Giudice Sportivo announced the decision today, along with one match suspensions for ten other players in Italy’s top flight.
Cannavaro was sent off during the Neroverdi’s 2-1 defeat against Milan yesterday, but was adjudged to have used ‘insulting language’ towards referee Paolo Valeri after he was ordered from the field.
Final Giudice Sportivo bans of the season:
Three matches: Cannavaro (Sassuolo)
One match: Pazienza (Bologna), Cuadrado, Roncaglia (Fiorentina), Pereirinha (Lazio), Emerson (Livorno), De Sciglio, Mexes (Milan), Mustafi (Sampdoria), Vives (Torino), Pinzi (Udinese).
