Ciro Immobile explained Italy's sauna work as part of their preparations for the World Cup in Brazil.
The Azzurri are expected to be playing in heavy humidity during the tournament, particularly during their opening match against England, which is set to take place on the edge of the Amazon rainforest in Manaus.
“We are working in a sauna which is helping us prepare for the Manaus temperatures,” Immobile said at a Press conference.
“We have done a day and a half at high intensity and we are preparing very well for the World Cup. We want to go there with maximum desire and intensity.
“What happens in the sauna? Nothing strange! We are doing specific training in order to help us acclimatise.”
The 24-year-old also commented on his own personal hopes for the tournament and how he has worked to improve his on-pitch behaviour.
“I’m playing at 200 per cent to get my chance! I want to show that what I did in Serie A was not by chance. The target is to give my best, so that I will have no regrets if I am not selected in the 23.
“For the boss, behaviour counts for a lot. I have improved a lot in this way, I’ve only been sent off once recently and I went straight to the dressing room.
“I’ve looked to improve this aspect and I think that has made a difference.”
