Argentina have cut four players from their provisional World Cup squad, including Catania’s Fabian Rinaudo.
There are numerous Serie A figures in the group and only 23 will go to the tournament next month.
Coach Alejandro Sabella named an original 30-man list, which has now been cut to 26 before the final choice.
Catania midfielder Rinaudo is one of those dropped, along with River Plate defender Gabriel Mercado, Getafe’s Lisandro Lopez and Franco Di Santo of Werder Bremen.
Argentina begin their Group F campaign on June 15 against Bosnia, then face Iran and Nigeria.
