Sky Sport Italia claim Milan have contacted Sevilla Coach Unai Emery as a replacement for Clarence Seedorf.
The report emerged late Thursday evening that Emery was the latest hot favourite to lead the club next season.
According to the Italian media, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has been in repeated talks with 42-year-old Spanish tactician Emery.
He is fresh from winning the Europa League with Sevilla, who beat Benfica on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
Previous candidates included ex-Zenit boss Luciano Spalletti and current Milan Primavera youth team Coach Pippo Inzaghi.
It is not Emery’s first link with Serie A, as he had also been one of the options for Roma when they went for Luis Enrique.
