Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi has denied Milan’s links to Unai Emery: “He has renewed with Sevilla, even before the Europa League Final.”
The 42-year-old was reported by Sky Sport Italia yesterday as the Rossoneri’s latest candidate to replace Clarence Seedorf, should the Dutchman leave as expected after a difficult six months in charge.
Whilst Italian media indicated that Adriano Galliani had held ‘repeated talks’ with the former Valencia boss on his coming to Italy, Sevilla’s sporting director has rubbished the news.
“He has renewed with Sevilla, even before the Europa League Final,” Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo, ‘Monchi’ has told Calciomercato.com.
“What if Milan were to pay a release clause? He will not go to Milan. He will definitely stay at Sevilla.”
